Kundapur: Attempt to Snatch Gold Chain Fails with Targeted Woman’s Scream

Kundapur: Triveni (22), daughter of Krishna from Toominahitlu in Uppunda, could save her gold chain in the neck by screaming for help in time on Thursday.

She was walking with her younger sister by the side of the road near the Mayura filling station at Byndoor around 11-45 am. A man aged about 40 years approached from the opposite direction and as he closed in he suddenly hit her in the head and cheek.

Then he tried to snatch her gold chain. She had enough time to scream for help. The man gave up his effort and escaped by the side of the taluk office.

A case has been registered in Byndoor police station.
