Kundapur: Couple from Karkunje Pledges Donation of Bodies after Death

Kundapur: It is a positive sign in the society that awareness about the utility of the dead bodies after death instead of allowing them to be cremated or buried is getting priority.

Many instance of such donations have been reported in recent months in the undivided DK district. The latest to join the noble club is a couple from Nempu Herjai in Karkunje village.

Herjadi Govinda Shetty, a progressive thinker and journalist, and his wife Pushpa (47) have registered themselves as donors and have pledged their after death to be used as cadaver in medical research.
