Kundapur: District Receives First Shower – Heavy Losses Reported

Kundapur: The district received its first showers accompanied by heavy winds, on June 4. While damages to property owing to the rainfall were reported in several parts of the region, there were no casualties.

Hundreds of banana plants, more than 10 electric poles and a shop belonging to Rajeev Shetty was damaged in Jadkal and Mudoor areas of Kundapur Taluk.

Electric poles which were uprooted fell on the road at Jadkal and disrupted the movement of vehicles and power in the area.

A house belonging to Rama Janmane of Jadkal has been partially damaged due to heavy winds. A bike was damaged when a tree fell on it.
