Kundapur: Gold and Silver stolen Second Time from Saukoor Temple

Kundapur: Valuable gold and silver items were stolen from
Saukoor Sri Durgaparameshwari temple in Kundapur Taluk here on February 1.

The theft came to light on Tuesday morning, when temple priest came to open the main door of the temple.

According to the police, thieves entered the temple by breaking open the front door and took away gold and silver ornaments. The thieves took away the sliver face mask of the deity, the donation box, gold mangalsutra and other items from the temple.

This is the second time gold and silver items are stolen from the temple. In the previous theft case of 14 August 2015, police have unable to arrest the culprits.

Gayathri Nayak Thasildar Kundapur, Manjunath Shetty DySP Kundapur, Nasir Hussain PSI Kundapur along with the dog squad and finger print experts visited the spot.

A case has been registered in the Kundapur Police Station.
