Kundapur: PU Student Found Dead of suspected Snake Bite

Kundapur: A 17–year–old student died, reportedly of a snake bite in Trasi Kadopadi here on January 22 night.

The deceased has been identified Rickson Dais (17) Son of Walter and Jonita Dais residents of Kadopadi near Trasi, Kundapur Talulk. Rickson was a second year PUC student of Saraswati Vidyalaya Gangolli.

According to sources, On Friday Rickson Dais was preparing for the upcoming examination. His parents had gone out for shopping, when his brother Alwyn Dais came home in the evening, he found Rickson lying unconscious in the house and rushed to the government hospital, Kundapur but doctor pronounced him brought dead. Though the exact cause of the death could be established only after a post-mortem. Police, quoting preliminary investigation by doctors, suspect that he might have died of snake bite. The Police have sent the body for post-mortem to Manipal Hospital.

A case has been registered in the Gangolli Police Station.

  1. If its due to snake bit then the venom shall surely change the color of the body to blue. Most of the venoms are neurotoxins and effect directly on the nervous system. Also find the snake bit marks. Sad news. May the departed soul rest in peace
