Kundapur: Spotted Deer Found Dead at Kattemakki – Accidental Fall into Ditch Suspected

Kundapur: A forest guard, while on rounds in Kattemakki of Shankaranarayana village in the taluk, found a spotted deer lying dead in a ditch on Friday.

It is suspected to have died on account of an accidental fall into the ditch as it bore no other injuries than bruises. On being informed, forest official Brijesh Vinayakumar arrived and held an inspection Veterinarian Dr Dinkar Shetty was also called for and a post-mortem examination as required under laws was held. The carcass was cremated thereafter.
