The objective of the group is to help the underprivileged back home in Mangaluru.

In the past five years, UMK has contributed around Rs 75 lakh to Sneha Sadan HIV aids center – Mangaluru, Navachetana Special School – Venur, White Doves – Mangaluru, Little Sisters of the Poor – Mangaluru, Manasa Rehabilitation Center – Pamboor, Udupi District and De Mercede Orphanage – Deralakatte, Mangaluru. This year, UMK will present a Konkani social comedy stage play “Tuje Khatir”, written and directed by Ronald D’Souza – Mulky, along with a variety of lively melodious songs and foot-tapping dances, in aid of St Joseph’s Prashanth Nivas Ashram, an abode of peace for the destitute, aged, children, mentally and physically handicapped. The ashram being run by Sisters of Charity, is located at Jeppu, Mangaluru, India.

All are invited to participate in this fun-filled event and be part of a worthy cause.
