Lavanya Tripathi in C.V. Kumar’s directorial debut

Chennai, Feb 12 (IANS) Actress Lavanya Tripathi has been roped in to play the female lead in filmmaker C.V. Kumar’s yet-untitled Tamil directorial debut, which features Sundeep Kishan in the lead.

“I am excited to be part of the project. Sundeep and I have been good friends and I am really looking forward to start working,” Lavanya told IANS.

The film originally featured Taapsee Pannu, who had to exit the project due to date issues.

Tipped to be a sci-fi thriller, the film is also expected to be simultaneously made in Telugu.

Studio Green is bankrolling the project, which will go on the floors later this month.
