Leaders urge unity and development at KIFF program
Kuwait: The Kuwait India Fraternity Forum organized a Grand Public program, “Unity – Need of the Hour”, on Friday, 20 May at Paragon Restaurant Hall, Kuwait City.
Addressing the gathering of expatriates, Shafi Bellare, State Secretary of Popular Front of India Karnataka, called upon the Muslim organizations and community leaders to stay united and focus on resolving the real issues like poverty, education, employment and dowry system rather than engaging themselves in blaming each other within the community.
Throwing light on the miserable conditions of Muslims across India, Bellare cautioned the people about the move of fascist forces to interfere in Muslim personal laws and rights by extending the activities of Muslim Rashtriya Manch. Bellare warned the expat community to be cautious about such game plans which may deepen the sectarian division within the Muslim community.
M M Mustakeem, President of KIFF Karnataka chapter, in his presidential address, explained about the activities of KIFF and stressed on the need to work together for the betterment of backward classes. Speaking on the occasion, Director of Nimble Consultancy MENA Region, Khaleel Adoor, urged the Muslim community to gain political strength by forming a broad-based alliance with like-minded political parties and community leaders who are committed to serving the society. Abdul Jabbar, President of KKMA Karnataka Branch and Sayyed Beary, Honorary President of Manipur Association also spoke on the occasion.
