Lucas Silva loan to Sporting Lisbon fails

Lisbon, July 11 (IANS) The loan deal of Real Madrid’s Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva to Portuguese football club Sporting Lisbon has failed, according to the Portuguese press.

Portugal’s A Bola newspaper on Sunday said that medical examinations have revealed that the player is suffering from heart problems, while O Jogo newspaper claimed that the loan was aborted after new financial demands emerged in the last minute, reports Efe.

Silva, 23, arrived in Real Madrid in 2014-15 from Brazilian side Cruzeiro, and was loaned last season to Ligue 1 side Marseille.
