Madikeri: Appearance of Tiger in Living Area Creates Scare near Srimangala

Madikeri: Man has been encroaching upon forest areas over centuries. With dwindling living space for themselves, the wild animals seem to be doing a return favour by regularly straying into the human territory.
A tiger showed up in a coffee estate belonging to Kallengada Anish at Nalkeri village near Srimangala around 3-30 in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 22. This has created a stir in the village and spread an atmosphere of fear all around.
There is suspense all the more because its movements and the direction in which it later moved from there could not be tracked down.
The police and the forest personnel have been informed about it and they have promised to provide protection to the villagers.
