Madikeri: Environmental Awareness Stressed at Vanamahotsava in St Michael’s School

Madikeri: Deputy conservator of forests Yedukondalu said here that any effort to promote awareness about protecion and conservation of the environment was a welcome step. A clean and green environment only could help in maintaining good health among the humans, he opined.

He was speaking at the Vanamahotsava observance in St Michael’s High School here on Tuesday, July 7.

School correspondent Fr Alfred John Mendonca urged the students to develop the hobby of growing plants and nurturing trees. Any harm to the environment could make life difficult. Hence everyone should vow to protect it.

Assistant commissioner Dr Nanjunde Gowda, ACF Seema, Monica D’Souza representing the school staff and others were present on the occasion.
