Madikeri: Kodagu DC Anurag Tewary Transferred to Bidar District

Madikeri: As part of a routine transfer of 12 IAS officers of the state, Anurag Tewary, hitherto deputy commissioner of Kodagu, has been posted to Bidar as DC.

He has been holding the post since August 15, 2013. Earlier, he had served as revenue assistant commissioner of Madhugiri subdivision in Tumkur district, administrator of Tumkur civic body and also as deputy commissioner of Tumkur district for three months.

He was known as an upright officer and hence was not exactly popular among the political circles.

Mir Anees Ahmed has been named as his successor and he is expected to take chrge later this week.
