Mamata greets Bengal on Deepavali

Kolkata, Nov 10 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday greeted the people on Deepavali.

“Let Deepavali be a festival of lights. My best wishes to people in the state,” Banerjee said on Facebook.

Deepavali commemorates Lord Rama and his wife Sita’s return to Ayodhya after his 14-year exile.

Deepavali festivities coincide with Kali Puja, where Goddess Kali is worshipped across the state.
