I was shocked to see the devotees thronging to the Ashram to seek blessings from Amma. People from all walks of life visiting Amma to seek her blessings without discrimination of caste creed and religion. All the devotees got divine blessings through Anmma. In our country the relationship between devotees and God is unique.
He further said that we have to respect Guru (teacher) because teacher is a person who teaches us about God. Amma respects all the people. Most of us are deprived from mother’s love. To take us near to God we have to respect the Guru and this is what Amma teaches us. In this modern world there is lack of relationship between mother and child due to materialism, poverty and the working system. The state government and central government is bringing awareness among the mothers to breast feed their children to strengthen the bond between mother and child.
He also said that if you serve the poor and the downtrodden that is the best way to heaven. Amma is here to show us the way to heaven. She is taking all our problems because she has special regards towards her devotees. Amma’s Love and empathy crosses all barriers of nationality, race, caste and religion, resulting in a host of charitable activities. Amma has over the years been preaching, practicing and showering bountiful affection, love, compassion and kindness to all mankind and that has justly earned her the epithet of ‘Universal Amma’.
Amma addressing the devotees said that smile is music of the soul, and whatever comes in life should be accepted with a smile. “We should think positively. Our anger, jealousy, pride makes us sick and it affects our body as well as mind. This world is a beautiful garden for human beings and animals. God has created everything and given us the responsibility to safeguard it. He has created animals that are not intelligent like us, but they do not go against the creator.” She further said that in this modern era we have forgotten the meaning of love and humanity. We now see more of enmity, corruption and hatred in our everyday life. If we control our emotions, anger and anxiety and live with unity this world will be a better place to live in, she said.
