Mangaluru: 13-year-old student Goes Missing – Uniform and School bag found

Mangaluru: A 13-year-old student of Capitanio School has gone missing from Nagori here on July 20.

The missing girl has been identified as Chaitra (13), studying in 8th standard and daughter of Rangappa Kambar.

According to the police, On Monday 20 evening, Chaitra came back from school. After sometime she went for tuition but never returned. A woman who was passing near the Garodi Temple road noticed a bag near the pathway. When she opened the bag, she found an ID card and uniform. The woman went to the Garodi temple and handed over the bag to the temple authorities. From the details on the ID card, the temple authorities informed Chaitra’s father.

Chaitra’s father Rangappa rushed to the temple and identified his daughter’s uniform, school bag and ID card. Later the Kankanady Rural police arrived at the spot. The family members, locals and the police tried to find Chaitra but failed in their attempt.

According to the CCTV camera footage of the temple Chaitra came to the temple wearing uniform but while returning from the temple she was wearing casual dress. She went to the bus stop and took the route number 9 bus, since then she has been missing.

Kankanady Rural police have registered a case and search is on for the missing girl.
