Mangaluru: 37-year-old Man Assaulted by Youth at Bondel

Mangaluru: A 37-year-old man was assaulted by a youth near Krishna Nagar Grounds, Bondel here on June 3.

The injured has been identified as Mohammed Mustafa (37), a resident of Bondel.

Speaking to mangalorean.com, Mustafa said, “On May 31, we played a cricket match between teams divided into married guys and bachelors. While the match was going on, one man named Dinesh insulted my brother Nawaz using foul language. I requested Dinesh not to insult my brother, but Dinesh threatened me and my brother with dire consequences. Dinesh also pushed my brother and my brother too responded and pushed him back.”

He further said, “On the evening of June 2, Dinesh came along with Chandu and Satish to Bondel grounds to assault us but we escaped from there. On June 3 at around 5:30 pm, Satish came to Bondel with a sharp blade used for cock fights and assaulted me. When my brother came to my rescue, he assaulted him too, but my brother escaped with minor injuries.”

Later, Satish fled from the scene. Mustafa who was severely injured with deep cut woulds has been admitted to the hospital. A case has been registered in theKavoor Police Station.
