Mangaluru: 39th Indian Social Science Congress at Mangalore University on December 1st

Mangaluru: The 39th Indian Social Science Congress commenced today at Mangala auditorium, Mangalore University. The four day Congress will conclude on December 5. The seminar is organised jointly by Mangalore University and the Indian Academy of Social Sciences. The theme of the Congress is ‘Emerging Interfaces of Social Science and Public Policy in India’.

The programme will be inaugurated by K Abhayachandra Jain, minister for Fisheries, Youth empowerment and Sports. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, UT Khader will be the chief guest. RC Tripathi, President, Indian Academy of Social Sciences will deliver the presidential address. The Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, K Byrappa will preside over the function. Around 300 delegates are expected to participate in this programme.
