Mangaluru: 4-year-old Destitute Boy Rescued from Central Railway Station

Mangaluru: A four-year-old boy was found in the central railway station locality on Thursday morning.

The railway staff who spotted him had earlier observed him loitering aimlessly along the tracks behind the Kerala Samajam school. Since even until noon, no one came to take him away, they made enquiries with him.

He looked weak and in need of food. He spoke only in broken Hindi. His parents could be migrant workers, they felt.

After being provided with refreshments, he was handed over to the child welfare committee for further rehabilitation.
