Mangaluru: All India Radio to organize ‘ Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan-2015

Mangaluru: addressing the media persons during the press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Vasanth Kumar Perla- Assistant Station Director, All India Radio,Mangaluru said, ” AIR will organize ‘Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan-2015 on Saturday, 10 October 2015 at Sri Sudhindra Auditorium-Canara Girls’ High School, Dongerkeri here starting at 6pm.”

Carnatic Music Concerts start at 6pm with- Sri Palakkad Sriram (Chennai) -vocals; Sri Vayala Rajendran (Trissur)-Violin; Sri KS Mahesh Kumar (Trissur)-Mridangam; and Sri R Karthik (Bengaluru)-Khanjira. At 7pm, will be the Thavil Solo with Sri Talachangadu TM Ramanathan -Thavil; Sri Kalyanapuram G Srinivasan- Nadaswaram Refrain; and Sri D Amudha (Trichy)-Talam. At 7.30pm- Mandolin Duet by Sri UP Raju and Smt U Nagamani (Chennai)-Mandolin; Sri Parur MA Sundaresan (Chennai)-Violin; Sri Tiruvallikeni K Shekar-(Chennai)-Thavil; Sri Coimbatore G Suresh -Ghatam; and Sri Papanasam S Sethuraman (Chennai)-Khanjira.

This programme will be broadcast all over India and also on All India Radio-Mangaluru (FM: 100.3 MHz and 1089 KHz) on the following dates:

-Carnatic Classical Vocal by Palalkkad Sriram on 8-11-2015 Sunday at 9.30pm to 10.30pm
-Thavil Solo by Thalachangadu and group on 8-11-2015-Sunday 10.30pm-11pm
– Mandolin Duet on 19-11-2015, Thursday at 10pm-11pm.

Also broadcast of Akashvani Sangeet Concerts will commence from 7-11-2015.
