Mangaluru: Aloysian Achievers Felicitated

Mangaluru: “Knowledge alone is not enough in these times, a student must have global competencies too, skills in the cognitive, emotional and psychomotor domains that would enable one to recognize and enhance ones talents and strengths, thereby making the sky as ones limit.”, opined Dr P Chandramohan, Vice Chancellor, Yenepoya University addressing the distinction holders of II PU board exams 2015 and their parents in the exclusive felicitation programme organized for them at St Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru at 3pm on 06 June 2015.


Presiding over the programme, the Rector of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Denzil Lobo SJ congratulated the principal, staff and students for the achievement and said that students should be leaders with a difference, reaching out to people as they achieve great heights.

The Principal Fr Melwin Mendonca SJ in his address expressed gratitude to the parents for collaborating with the staff in enabling their children to achieve wonders. Gracing the dais also were the Vice Principal Rekha Alva and the conveners of the Programme, Kiran Shetty, Dean and HOD of Mathematics and Anitha Pinto.

The 304 distinction holders and toppers were honoured by the dignitaries. The vice principal welcomed the gathering and Anita Pinto delivered the Vote of Thanks. Pramila Patrao, Department of Biology compered the programme.
