Mangaluru: Auto Driver Displays Integrity by Ensuring Return of Valuables Left Behind

Mangaluru: Meera (75), who had arrived from Bengaluru and engaged an autorickshaw from Balmatta to her home in Pandeshwar may perhaps always have a good word about the drivers in the city.

As she had got down from the bus and taken the autorickshaw belonging to Imran to Pandeshwar. While in a hurry, she had left behind a bag of hers and the mobile phone.

Imran too failed to notice it. In the meanwhile, Meera complained to the police. She called her own mobile number. It was only then that Imran came to know that she had left behind her valuables.

He checked and confirmed that the bag and the mobile were safe with him. He returned both the items to her.

The bag contained a two-and-a-half sovereign gold chain and a ring.

Honesty – a Salute!
