Addressing the mediapersons, VHP leader Jitendra Kottari said that BD and VHP will hold a protest ‘Bengaluru Chalo’ on June 22 to protest against the state government. “The members of VHP and BD from all over the state will get together at Freedom Park at 2:00 pm and stage a protest against the double standards of the state government.”

He further said that the state government led by CM Siddaramaiah has brought anti-Hindu policies and has done injustice to Hindus from the past two years. “The state government has brought ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ for Muslim girls, withdrawn the Anti-Cow Slaughter Bill, implemented the Anti-Superstition Act, tried to bring Maths under the control of the government and has booked innocent Hindu youth under the Goonda Act, with more than 300 cases filed against the members of the Hindu organizations.”

“The state government, instead of banning organizations like KFD and PFI, which were involved in violence, has withdrawn the cases which were registered against in 2009. This shows a clear indication of the double standards of the state government.”

“Because of the double standards of the state government, BD and VHP have planned the protest. More than 10,000 activists from the state will gather at the Freedom Park. More than 1,000 activists from Mangaluru will go to Bengaluru on May 21 to take part in the protest. Buses from Mangaluru have been arranged and they will leave on May 21 night at 10.30 pm Mangala Devi Temple.”

Jagadish Shenava- District President-VHP, Gopal Kuthar-Dist. secretary-VHP and Bhujanga Kulal- Dist. convenor of Bajrangdal were also present during the press meet.
