Mangaluru: Bannanje Raja Handed to Pandeshwar Police Custody for 2 Days

Mangaluru: Bannanje Raja, the alleged underworld don who had been extradited from abroad and lodged in Belagavi jail, had been brought here to the city in connection with the hearing about a shootout at a builder near Kadri park a few years ago.

At the request of the police, the court granted the Pandeshwar police his custody for two days from Monday.

His interrogation was necessary in connection with an assault on human rights activist P B D’Sa over property matters. The case had been filed way back in 2002.
