Mangaluru: BCF-UAE to distribute Scholarships to Students and Wheel Chairs for Physically Challenged

Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Dr BK Yusuf-President of Beary’s Cultural Forum (BCF) said, ” This year BCF will distribute scholarships to 600 economically backward PUC students and wheel-chairs to 60 physically challenged people of the district. We have been doing this project for the past 13 years, and this year too we will be distributing scholarships to talented PUC students and wheel chairs to the physically Challenged”

The programme will be at Loyola Hall-St Aloysius College on Sunday, 23 August 2015 at 1.30pm, which will be inaugurated by Karnataka Health Minister U T Khader. Guests of honor for the occasion will be Ministers Ramanath Rai and Vinay Kumar Sorake, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Moideen Bava, MLA JR Lobo,Mohan Alva- Chairman, Alva’s Education Trust, M Hasan Darvesh, Chairman-Darvesh group and BCF Ambassador from UAE, MLC Ivan D’Souza, B M Farookh the chairman of Fiza group of companies, and many other VIPs.

During the occasion, M Hasan Darvesh and S M Sherif of Kushi group will be awarded CSR special award and K S Saheed Karnire will be honoured with ‘Star of Bearys 2015’ award. Felicitations will be done for students and for people for their achievements in sports. Prior to the formal function, there will be career guidance symposium at 9 am by Prof Dr Kaup Mohammed-Dean,UAE London American College .
