Mangaluru: Bike-lifter with Past Record Arrested by CCB – Vehicle Seized

Mangaluru: The city crime branch (CCB) police have arrested Naushad (37), a resident of Nityananda Nagar in Kuttarpadavu on the outskirts, on charge of lifting a Bajaj Pulsar bike from near Hosangadi junction in Kasaragod district about a month ago.

After stealing it, he had attached a fake number-plate on it and was riding around. The bike, costing around Rs 50,000, has been seized from him.

Investigations revealed that he had three cases filed against him during the communal disturbances in Ullal in 2006 and two cases for assault in Konaje police stations.

He has been handed over to Ullal police station for further proceedings.
