Mangaluru: Bike-riding Duo Mugs Pedestrian Arriving from Shivamogga at Kulur

Mangaluru: Incidents of this kind should serve as a caution to the public to beware of chain-snatching and such other petty crimes committed by bike-riding culprits.

Anand S, hailing from Shivamogga and working in the city, had gone to his hometown and had just arrived here on Monday.

As he got down from a bus at Kulur and was walking towards his accommodation at Raikatte, two strangers arrived in a bike and looted him of whatever money he had in his pocket.

He had the time and presence of mind to note down the number of the bike. But past records show that in most cases the culprits use vehicles either stolen or bearing fake number-plates.

A case has been registered in Kavoor police station.
