Mangaluru: Biker Stabs Auto-driver for Objecting to Violation of ‘No Entry’ Rule, Gets Arrested

Mangaluru: Puneet Chandrashekhar Salian (24), from Devandagudde in Marakada, came riding in his bike along a ‘No Entry’ lane on Market Road on Sunday noon.

This was questioned by Gopalakrishna Shetty (48), from Panjimogaru, and they had a heated argument. At the peak of it, Shetty held Puneet’s collar.

Puneet is said to have walked into an alcohol outlet and come back in stupor. In an act of revenge, he reportedly stabbed Shetty who was sitting in his vehicle in anticipation of passengers.

Since Puneet had left behind his bike after the act, the police tracked him down and arrested him on Monday.

A case has been registered in the Bunder police.
