Mangaluru: Cash, Valuables Worth Rs 7 Lakh Burgled from Jeppu Kudupadi House

Mangaluru: Thieves broke into a house in Dawood compound near the Jeppu mosque on Sunday night and made away with cash and valuables worth Rs 7 lakh.

The rented house in which Nazma and family stay was found broken into in the morning. The burglary took place while they family members were asleep, which aspect has surprised everyone. The sound of the rain may have helped the thieves.

The miscreants broke open the glass and rods of the bathroom and gained access into the house. The steel cupboard was opened. Gold ornaments weighing 189 grammes worth Rs 6 lakh, silver ornaments, a Lenovo Tab and Rs 75,000 in cash have been taken away.

A complaint was filed at the Pandeshwar police station. Canine and forensic squads visited the house and held investigations.
