Mangaluru: Childline Team Rescues Deserted Woman and 2 Kids Living in KSRTC Bus-stand

Mangaluru: Renukamma, aged about 30 years, is from Ukkudakere in Hospet taluk of Ballari district.
She lived with her two sons of 7 and 2 years. Her husband had deserted her some years. Last week, she and her children were thrown out of the house by her mother-in-law for flimsy reasons.
She boarded a bus to the city and landed here with her children. With nowhere to go, she took shelter in the KSRTC bus stand. Having stayed there, she did not have any money for food nor to return to her native place.
When the Mangaluru Childline came to know about them, coordinator Sampat Shetty, Supreeta of Dharmajyoti organization from Vamanjoor and Assumpta D’Souza arrived and enquired after them.
Having rescued them, they also ensured their rehabilitation.
