Mangaluru: Condolence Meeting for Dr APJ Abdul Kalam held at Kanachur Academy

Mangaluru: The employees and faculty of the Kanachur Academy, Deralakatte held a condolence meeting at the Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences campus to mourn the unexpected demise of the former President, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

Dr Arunachalam Kumar, Vice Chairman of the Academy spoke at length on the signal achievements and contributions of the statesman scientists to the nation. He said that Dr Kalam exemplified humility and greatness and was an ideal role model for youth.

Dr Khaja Naseeruddin, Dean of the institute paid rich tributes to the departed soul. Abdul Rahman, Trustee and Director, in his brief address mentioned that the nation had lost a noble soul in Dr Kalam’s death.

Dr Deviprasad, Hospital Superintendent and DR Rohan Monis, Chief Administrative Officer, were present at the meeting along with Umaya Banu, Trustee.

The meeting ended with the passing of a resolution condoling the demise and a minute’s silence was observed.
