Mangaluru: Customs Officers Seize 464.8 grams of Gold at MIA

Mangaluru: The customs authorities at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) seized 464.8 g of gold from a passenger from Abu Dhabi as he was trying to smuggle it in his baggage here, on June 1.



Ubaid Bare Hassainar, a resident of Mangad, Kasargod, was found carrying the gold in the form of silver-colour-paint-coated suitcase handle, buckle holders and round button shaped objects, brought by concealing in the stroller suitcase carried as accompanied baggage.

Ubaid arrived at MIA on June 1 in the afternoon by Jet Airways flight number 9W501 from Abu Dhabi.
