Mangaluru: Cycle Rally by Cyclists Associations to protest against Yettinahole Project

Mangaluru : Two Cyclists associations namely Mangalore Cycling Club; and Mangalore Bicycle Association have planned to have a Cycle Rally on Sunday, 4 October 2015, which will start from Mangaluru City Corporation building-Lalbagh and proceed to Ullal, and back again from there to the start point-this was announced by Dr Ramaraj- a Bicycle hobbyist, while addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club.

Dinesh Holla- Convener of Sahyadri Samrakshana Sanchaya and also a artist will flag off the Cycle Rally at 6am on Sunday morning near MCC building. The total distance of the rally to and fro will be around 28 kms. Necessary arrangements have been made for the safety of the cyclists, including a ambulance which will follow the rally. Dr Niranjan Rai- convener of Anti-Nethravati river Project will address the Cyclists at Ullal.

The members those who were present at the press meet were- Dr Smitha- Founder member of Mangalore Bicycle Club, Anil Shet-founder member of Mangalore Cycling Club, Shrestajna- Bicycle hobbyist, Anil Shastri-Bicycle hobbyist, Vernon Saldanha- Bicycle hobbyist, Sham Prasad Nayak-top cyclist in India as per Strava App, Donny Menezes- top cyclist in India as per Strava App, Lohith Rao- founder member of MBC and BR Sadashiva Rao- Bicycle hobbyist.
