Mangaluru: Damage to TV Cable while Plucking Coconuts  – 2 Women Assaulted for Seeking Repair

Mangaluru: A complaint has been filed in the Ullal police station regarding an assault by a man on a senior woman and her daughter on Monday.
Michael (20), hailing from Tamil Nadu, had been engaged to pluck coconuts in the compound of a house in Narla Padil in Talapadi. While doing so, the overhead cable connection to the neighbouring house of Nebisa (60) had snapped.
When he came down the tree, Nebisa is said to have asked to set the cable right. Enraged  by this, Michael reportedly assaulted Nebisa. He also hit her daughter Asma (26) who tried to stop him from hitting her mother.
Thereafter Michael escaped from there, according to the complaint. Nebisa and Asma are being treated in a private hospital in Thokkottu.
A case has been registered in the Ullal police  station.
