Mangaluru: DC A B Ibrahim Inaugurates Free Yoga Camp at Mini Vidhana Soudha

Mangaluru: The district administration in association with Zilla Panchayat and Ayush department held a Free Yoga camp, at the Mini Vidhana Soudha, Taluk Office premises here on September 7.




Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim inaugurated the Yoga camp by lighting the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries on the dais.

Addressing the participants DC Ibrahim said that the district administration has organized free yoga camp for the public and the media persons in association with Ayush and Zilla Panchayat. Yoga relieves mental stress and allows a person to relax. Practicing yoga can boost oxygen levels to the brain allowing a person to feel happy and healthy in life. He urged the people to practice more and more Yoga to keep themselves healthy and happy.

Yoga Guru Gopalakrishna Delampady speaking to the participants said that Yoga is good for 8 reasons ie, Yoga lowers the stress, it boosts the confidence of a person, lowers the risk of injury, it helps to reduce obesity, Increases flexibility, improves muscle tone and strength, it also lowers blood pressure and improves the posture.

There will be 18 sessions starting from September 7. The yoga camp will start from 7:15 am to 8:15 am. Those interested can reach the Mini Vidhana Soudha building before 7 am.
