Mangaluru: Disrespect to National Symbol – Complaint Filed against Youth Congress Leaders

Mangaluru: The Ullal block youth Congress observed the anniversary of the founding their organization in Lions Seva Mandir in Asaigoli last Sunday.

On the occasion, DK Youth Congress president Mithun Rai is said to have hoisted the Youth Congress flag on the pole exclusively meant for unfurling the national flag on important occasions. The pictures of the occasion have been widely making rounds on mobiles and WhatsApp during the past days.

The issue has taken a serious turn with Kotekar resident and advocate K R Mohanraj filing a private complaint against the leaders in the Ullal police station. He has stated that it was a great insult to the nation and demanded action against the offenders. He further said that he, as an advocate, could not remain silent when such a thing had happened.

He has named Mithun Rai, Ullal block president Ishwar Ullal, vice president Santosh Shetty and Mangaluru assembly constituency YC president Nazar Shah Pattori, among others.

In the meantime, DK district Yuva Morcha general secretary Captain Brijesh Chowta has said the BJP would submit a complaint to the city police commissioner in the matter.
