Mangaluru: Dr Julian Saldanha appointed RMO of Government Wenlock Hospital

Mangaluru: The popular district hospital, Wenlock has got a new RMO – Resident medical officer Dr Julian Saldanha has assumed charge of the post recently. Dr Julian is a well known senior specialist, who showed concern and due care to all. His new role will augment the district hospital administration to make it a better hospital.

Of Mangaluru roots he is a member of a well known Konkani Catholic family. He was appointed to serve in the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka in 1991, as an Assistant Surgeon, he earned his MD in internal medicine from Fr Muller’s Hospital Mangaluru in 1997 and initially served in Bhatkal before being promoted and posted at Government District Wenlock hospital Mangalore as Senior Specialist in charge of dept of medicine.

Dr Julian Saldanha, is active in the medical and social scene of the city; he served successfully as Secretary Association of Physicians of India, DK branch for two terms, Member of IMA – Indian Medical Association, Rachana, Mens sodality, Member of Dakshina Kannada cricket association and so on. A wide cross section of the medical fraternity and citizens of Magaluru welcomed him.
