Mangaluru: Family from Kundapur Loses Gold and Cash from Car Parked near Mall

Mangaluru: A family from Kundapur on a visit to the city have to return home with dark memories, having lost gold and cash late last week.

Mohammed Altaf, his wife, mother, a sister and a brother arrived at a shopping mall and parked their car in the parking lot.

When they came to the car after shopping, some miscreants appeared to have opened the door by sliding the window glass.

Two gold bangles of three sovereign and a ring of half a sovereign from a vanity bag and Rs 3,000 in cash from another vanity bag were missing.

The two vanity bags were left behind by the thieves. A case has been registered in the north police station.

The incident has brought forth the lack of security in spite of having watch and ward staff.
