Mangaluru: Final Batch of Haj Pilgrims Flies from City Taking Total to 670

Mangaluru: The fifth and final batch of pilgrims heading to Madina in Saudi Arabia flew from the city airport on Thursday.
The last batch was made of 65 males, 67 women and two children. The flights began on Aug 16. By these flights, 352 men, 314 women and 4 children have travelled, taking the grand total to 670.
The Haj committee functionaries has thanked all office-bearers, volunteers, all those who arranged for food and water, the airport director, customs, emigration, security personnel, the district administration, the district police, the print and visual media and everyone who helped in the smooth departure of the pilgrims.
