Mangaluru: Friends to hold Condolence Meet for Mohammed Badruddin

Mangaluru: Friends and well wishers of social worker and Congress leader Mohammed Badruddin will be holding a condolence meeting to pay homage and respects to the departed soul at Saanidhya Residential School for Specially Abled, Bikarnakatte at 5 pm on Tuesday, September 1.

Under the banner of Badruddin Geleyara Balaga, the condolence meeting will be held informally as a tribute to a friend who selflessly worked for the cause of society without aspiring anything in return. Badruddin was a rare breed of politician who worked relentlessly for the party and the community around without ambition of post or position.

Mohammed Badruddin (58) died due to cardiac arrest on Tuesday, August 25 at his friend’s residence in Bengaluru. He was a member of the Congress party for more than 40 years and had also served as president of NSUI. He was also the secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Cogress Committee (KPCC) and until his demise, he was a KPCC member.

Though being a Congress party member, he enjoyed goodwill and friendship across religious and political affiliations, as a social worker and being an active member of Rotaract Movement in his younger days.
