Mangaluru: Hotel’s Banquet Manager Accused of Embezzlement of Rs 8.69 Lakh

Mangaluru: Shyam Prasad, managing director of a high-end hotel in Falnir has filed a complaint at the city south police station, against Shashidhar Shenoy, the manager of the banquet section over financial irregularities.
He has been charged with collecting higher amounts from a number of clients who booked the venues but recorded lesser amounts in the hotel’s registers.
Shenoy, who has been employed for two years, has been accused of holding back Rs 8,69,527 which is inclusive of an amount Rs 4.87 lakh towards functions scheduled to be held in the hotel’s venues between November 2015 and May 2016.
The police have registered a case and are pursuing the matter.
