Mangaluru: IMA and API’s District Units Lend Support to Doctors’ Agitation in Puttur

Mangaluru: Doctors in Puttur are planning to go on an agitation from Aug 17, in protest against assault on medical personnel on duty and destruction of property in a hospital by a group of public recently.

The district units of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Association of Physicians of India (API) has pledged its total support to the agitation.

IMA district president Dr G K Bhat Sankabittilu and API district president Dr Prabhakar have condemned the failure on the part of the officials concerned to arrest the culprits in the incident, in spite of having been provided with the footages from the CCTV cameras installed in the hospital in question.
