Mangaluru: Inspector Pramod Kumar from Rural Police Station Transferred to Chamarajanagar

Mangaluru: Assistant director general of police (administration) Praveen Sood has issued orders transferring four police inspectors to different stations.

They include Pramod Kumar P, inspector at Kankanady rural station located in Maroli. He was in the news recently when the city police commissioner asked him to proceed on leave following certain unpleasant incidents.

This triggered off a flash protest by the police staff themselves for the first time in the police history of the district. They were joined by the public. Bowing to pressure, the commissioner recalled him immediately.

Pramod Kumar has been posted to the district crime records bureau of Chamarajanagar distict. Police sources said that he was likely to be relieved from the rural station on Monday.
