Mangaluru: Internationally Acclaimed Movie ‘Naanu Avanalla Avalu’ to be Released in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Prakash Pandeshwara, Distributor of Jayakirana Films held a Press Meet at Mangalore Press Club Urwa here, on December 9.

Addressing the mediapersons Prakash said, “The movie ‘Nannu Avanalla Avalu’ premiered at the 62nd National Film Festival in May 2015 and has won two awards at the 62nd National Film Awards, Vijay for Best Actor and Raju and Nagaraj for Best Make-up Artist. The film also premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in August 2015.”

“Under the Direction of B S Lingadevaru the movie depicts the life of the transgender community in the Indian society where the protagonist, Vidya’s everyday life is a struggle and is destined to have a life of neglect and disappointments. The film revolves around her life where he was growing up as a boy and realises his feminine characteristics and starts living as a female. The movie has been produced by Ravi R Garani,” he added.

Upon receiving good reviews from viewers the movie had created curiosity among people. Therefore the team had decided to release the movie in Mangaluru. The movie will be released on December 11 at the Prabhat Talkies. The show timings are at 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm. “We request you all to go and watch this movie at theatres and have a good time,” Prakash Said.
