Mangaluru: Karnataka Bank Gifts Umbrellas to poor Govt School Students

Mangaluru: Karnataka Bank is committed to their Corporate Social Responsibility (CRP) by responding to the basic needs of the community in general and for the noble cause of the poor meritorious students studying in Govt Schools in Particular said Raghuram, General Manager, Planning & Development Dept, Karnataka Bank, Head Office.

He was speaking as a chief guest on the “Free umbrella distribution to the students” of D.K.Z.P. School Kodikal organized by Shield Trust Mangaluru, on 1 October 2015 at their school hall. He urged the students to strive hard to achieve success in their future. Later he distributed 175 umbrellas to the students. He advised the students not to abstain from the school for the need of umbrellas during monsoon. Further he complemented the office bearers of Shield Trust and assured that the bank will always support their charitable and Community Development Oriented activities.

Rotary Zonal Lieutenant Rajgopal Rai speaking as guest of honour lauded the community development projects initiated by the Shield Trust. Srinivas Deshpande Chief manager Karnataka Bank, Shashikala President, Parents & teachers association were the guests of honour on the occasion. Rotary Club PRO Rtn. M V Mallya, Shield Trust President Dharmith Rai secretary Vardhan Pai, were present on the dais.

The Trust also distributed Biscuits & Chocolates to the Children on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi day. Earlier Head Master Jayappa welcomed, teacher Jayalaxmi delivered the vote of thanks, teacher Nirmala compered the programme.
