Mangaluru: Killing of Mohammed in Kavoor – Police Arrest Three Suspects

Mangaluru: Mohammed of Ambika Nagar in Kavoor had been stabbed tokavoormuder death by a group of persons near his house around 8 pm on Oct 7.

A dispute regarding property is said to have led to the killing. He had gone to visit a neighbour, Iqbal. When he did not return for a long time, his son Mohammed Nasir went to call him. When he was on his way, he spotted his father being assaulted by a few persons.

When he collapsed and lay in a pool of blood, he was taken to the hospital by two other neighbours. Mohammed died in the hospital after some time owing to excessive bleeding.

Mohammed Nasir had named the three assailants in his complaint to the police. Accordingly, the Kavoor police arrested Abdul Nasir (31) of Ambikanagar, Imran (23) and Qalander Shafi (23), both of Mura in Kunjattabail on Sunday.

They were picked from the KSRTC bus stand in Bijai when they were reportedly planning to flee to Goa by boarding a Karwar-bound bus, after remaining in hiding for four days.
