Mangaluru: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation(KSRTC) Puttur held a press meet at the Press Club Urwa here on Jan 8.
Addressing the mediapersons Jagdish Shetty, KSRTC official said “The KSRTC bus terminal is completed under the Public Private Partnership Puttur and is ready to be inaugurated on Jan 9 2015. District Minister In-Charge B Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the bus terminal.”
He further said “The bus station at Puttur, located on the Mangaluru – Mysuru Highway, was in a miserable condition upsetting the travellers. Under the leadership of Hindustan Promoters and Builders the work on the bus terminal started 2 years ago.The developer has provided various facilities for the comfort of the passengers at the terminal. It includes ladies’ waiting room with rest rooms, space for canteen, shops, traffic control. The terminal also has parking facility for passengers at the basement.The terminal has 27 bus bays on 2.98 acres of land where the old bus stand was located. The ground and the first floors have space for commercial establishments.”
“With the budget of around 33 crores the project has been completed and is ready to be inaugurated on January 9”.
