Mangaluru: Lancy Assault case – Five Surrender before Court, Remanded to Judicial Custody

Mangaluru: In the Lancy D’Souza attempt to murder case, five persons have surrendered before the court here, on September 17.

The accused in Lancy’s murder are Rathan (22), a resident of Adyarpadav; Vivek (26), a resident of Someshwar; Deekshith (27), a resident of Thokkottu; Pavan (20), a resident of Kapikad and Sujan (25), a resident of Mogaveerapattana.

Lancy was on his way home on his two wheeler after finishing his work, when a Maruti Swift rammed into his two wheeler from the rear and knocked him down. The occupants immediately got out of the car and assaulted Lancy with deadly weapons. They later left the car and fled from the spot.

All the five have been remanded to judicial custody and the search is on for the main accused Choni, Rakshith and Prashant, who are still absconding.
