Mangaluru: Citizens of Mangaluru were delighted to a laser show at the grounds of Mini Vidhana Soudha, on the evening of November 25.
It was organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Karnataka.
The show started at 6:30 pm. The audience was quite low in the beginning. But soon people started gathering. And passersby stopped to get a glimpse of this rare technology.
The theme of the laser show seemed to be around unity of Karnataka and the pride that one must feel in being a Kannadiga. This was evident by the visuals that contained people joining hands to lift the flag of Karnataka. Visuals also displayed some famous monuments of Karnataka, famous writers of prose and poetry, freedom fighters and also notable film personalities. Different social schemes by the Government of Karnataka were also shown.
The presentation was done in a way how a folk story is told, but with the use of laser technology there was a modern touch to it. Thus the show was a delight to both old and young. This seems to come at the right time, given the fact that the state is recovering from a nervous unrest that had prevailed in the past few weeks.
