Mangaluru: Leopard Trapped in Snare at Kinnigoli Brought to Pilikula

Mangaluru: The Forest Range officers along with the locals rescued a leopard at Kinnigoli which was trapped in a snare here on June 7.
According to the locals on June 6, they heard the dogs barking continuously and also heard the cry of some wild animal. On June 7 early morning, when they were checking in the field, they found a leopard being caught in a snare laid for wild boars in the field belonging to Sharada.
The forest personnel were immediately informed by the locals. Forest Department officers reached the spot and captured the leopard with the help of the locals and shifted it to Pilikula Nisargadhama.
